Baahubali Failed to Break Indra Record

Baahubali' might be the highest grossing Telugu flick ever but it still couldn't break few records of TFI.

In Tuni town of Est Godavari, 'Indra' collected as much as Rs 17.56 lakhs when the ticket price was just Rs 30. In the same territory, 'Baahubali' managed just Rs 13 lakhs in its full run and eventually fell short of 'Indra' feat by Rs 4.56 lakhs inspite of ticket fare of Rs 70. It's been 13 years since 'Indra' hit the screens, Still a record set by it remains intact and that's an incredible feat.

Even Teja claims his cult flick 'Jayam' have more viewership in Telugu states than 'Baahubali'. According to him, 'Jayam' was watched by Rs 5 crore Andhrites whereas 'Baahubali' managed  a mere Rs 2.5 crore. The vast difference in the ticket prices of both these films helped 'Baahubali' collect a record share of over Rs 100 crore in Telugu states alone.
