This might come across as a rude shocker to all the diehard fans of Kannada superstar and Eega Villain, Kiccha Sudeep. As per the latest reports, Sudeep and his wife Priya are heading for a divorce from their 14-year old marriage. On Friday, Sudeep and Priya applied for divorce through mutual consent citing 'differences' in married life.
Speculations about differences in the star couple's marriage first arised when Priya skipped Sudeep's birthday celebrations at their residence recently. The couple fell in love with each other and got married in 2001. They have an 11-year old daughter, Saanvi, whose custody will be with her mother and Sudeep has repeatedly decided not to challenge it in the court. As per the reports, Sudeep has even agreed to pay Rs 19 crore alimony to this wife.
Apparently, Sudeep and Priya developed irreconcilable differences after the launch of 360 degree, an event management firm partly owned by Priya became a huge success and Sudeep delivering two successive blockbusters, leaving less time for the couple to spend together. Reacting to the news of his marriage, Sudeep reportedly said that the divorce was a private affair and requested all his fans and well wishers to respect his privacy in these hard times.
Sudeep will next be seen in Vijay's Puli and Rajamouli's Baahubali The Conclusion.
