As the suspense surrounding Nandamuri Balakrishna's 100th film is ended and Balayya teaming up with Kanche director Krish Jagarlamudi for Gauthamiputra Satakarni is common knowledge by now, the talk of the town is on how Legend producers - 14 Reels Entertainment and Vaarahi Chalana Chitram- opted out of this landmark film. Check out few inside details.
Krish Wanted His Friend
As the historical film involves high-budgets, director Krish wanted a free-hand. Since he strikes good rapport with his friend, Kanche producer Rajiv Reddy, Krish apparently requested Balayya that the opportunity should be given to him so that things would go smoothly. Reacting upon Krish's request, Balayya made it clear to Krish that he has promised to do his 100th film with his Legend producers,
Balayya Called on Legend Producers
Balakrishna called on producers Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, Anil Sunkara and Sai Korrapati and explained them the situation. Understanding the situation, Legend makers humbly accepted Balayya's decision to work with Krish and Rajiv for his 100th.
In fact, Sai Korrapati was there for the story sittings for Krishna Vamsi film "Rythu" which was supposed to be Balayya's 100th film. With Balayya in the last minute finalised to do Gauthamiputra Satakarni as his 100th movie in Amaravathi backdrop, things got changed.
"If it was with director Krishna Vamsi or with director Boyapati, Legend producers would had been on the board. Since Krish came on board, Legend makers backed out," said a source in the know.
Why Not Boyapati?
Although Legend director Boyapati was the initial choice for Balayya's 100, this didn't work as Boyapati has signed an agreement with Abhishek Pictures to direct a film with Bellamkonda Srinivas. This turned the tables. Boyapati is followed by Krishna Vamsi and finally director Krish bagged the opportunity.
101 for Legend Producers
Meanwhile, Balakrishna confirmed to do his 101st film with 14 Reels Entertainment and Vaarahi Chalana Chitram. Ram, Gopi, Anil and Sai would be producing Balayya's 101 film.
Sai Korrapati to Launch Mokshagna
Also Balayya given his nod to launch his son Nandamuri Mokshagna under Vaarahi Chalana Chitram. More details on the project would emerge once Balayya is done with his landmark film.
