BAHUBALI – BIG FILM, BIGGER MANIA, BIGGEST FRENZY

Bahubali released in 4250 theatres worldwide. On the day of release alone, there would be a record 15000 shows. The film is releasing in four languages.

· In the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Bahubali is releasing in 1600 halls, which is 90 per cent of the total cinema theatres.


· In Tamil Nadu, the film is being released in 350 screens and 225 in Karnataka. Bahubali has got around 100 screens in West Bengal. In the US too, the film is being released in more than 135 screens in the US.


· Malayali version of Baahubali opens to a record 40 shows at Mayajal multiplex in Kerala. Another 19 shows will have the Tamil version. Thus a record of 59 shows on the first day. A record in itself.


· This is perhaps the first time that tickets for the premiere show are priced at a whopping Rs 8000 a piece.
· The film is the costliest Indian film ever made. At Rs 250 crore, it shattered the record of director Shankar’s Robot. (Rs 150 crore).


· The film was three years in the making. A staggering 26 VFX studies and 600 graphic artistes worked in three shifts for over six months for the graphic effects.
· It is rumoured that hero Prabhas has postponed his marriage to complete the film.


· The first trailor of the movie crossed one million views within 24 hours of its release on the youtube.
· The film’s 50000 sq ft poster erected in Kerala has set a Guinness Book of World Records.


· In another first, the release of at least six films has been postponed in view of Bahubali’s release. Among them are Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu, Raviteja’s Kick 2, Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi, Manchu Vishnu’s Dynamite.
