Director Koratala Siva's "Srimanthudu" starring Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan in the lead, has got a U/A certificate from the Censor Board. The makers are now gearing up for a grand release on 7 August.
It was reported earlier that the makers of "Srimanthudu" had planned to screen the movie before the Censor Board on 3 August. But they scrapped their plans at the last moment due to a technical glitch in the first copy. They rescheduled the screening for the Board officials on 4 August, who reportedly watched "Srimanthudu" at a special screening held at 9.00 AM today (4 August), after which the U/A certificate was given unconditionally.
The bosses of Mythri Movie Makers, who have produced "Srimanthudu" in collaboration with G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, have confirmed the news about receiving the certificate.
On the official Twitter handle of the production house, they tweeted: "#Srimanthudu censor done! U/A it is! All set for a Grand Release on August 7th!"
Made with a budget of about Rs 50 crore, "Srimanthudu" is touted to be a family entertainer with all the commercial ingredients - action, romance and comedy. Besides direction, Koratala Siva has also written the script for the movie. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music, while R Madhi has handled the camera work.
