SS Rajamouli's visual grandeur, Baahubali had achieved
a rare feat which is never achieved or even imagined by
a film from Regional Cinema. The movie had amassed
345 Crore net from all the versions of the movie in the
24 days run so far. In the process the movie had emerged
as the country's All Time No.1 film.
So far, Aamir Khan's PK holds the record with 339 Crore net in
its full run. Baahubali had taken just 24 days to surpass PK's
record. By the end of Sunday, the movie also amassed 100 Crore
share from AP and Nizam and 100 Crore gross from the dubbed
Hindi version alone. No other film from any language collected at
least half the gross from its Hindi dubbed version.
However when we consider the Worldwide collections, PK is much
ahead with 700 Crores net. Remember Bollywood films have
huge market in international arena. Baahubali makers are
trimming the film for International release. They have roped in
Internationally acclaimed editor, Vincent Tabaillon, who is well
known for his work in “The Incredible Hulk”, “Clash of the Titans”,
“Taken 2” and most recently, “Now You See Me” for readying the
international version.
