The latest “news leak” about Baahubali is how actor Rana is fantastic in the film and that he dominates the first half, while Prabhas’ role is mostly towards the second half — and overall, he’s great too (few days earlier we heard something similar about Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah’s roles too).
Now though, source-based gossip has revealed how the Censor Board members were given a sneak preview of the film triggering mixed reactions from officials. While some officials felt it was good, others sniggered at the needless hype.
Well, to be fair, you can’t blame the Censor Board for not enjoying it, because apparently, when a big film like this needs to get clearance, the makers send a copy without proper background music and poor quality. So the board only gets to check dialogues for vulgarity. They do not get to see the final version of the film.
Another story doing the rounds is how people are asking the Censor Board members who “are lucky to have gotten a sneak preview of the film” to update them on the film. And we are also told the film is competing for the title of “world’s largest film poster”, apart from the fact that Bollywood’s filmmaker Karan Johar is now personally promoting the film at events — praising Rajamouli’s brand of filmmaking.
Let’s pray all this hype doesn’t kill the film.
