Awards Rain!
Well, to startoff with very few of our movies make it to national awards, and those too are off beat films like Minugurulu. Our main stream films and stars have rarely been nominated for these awards of late, unlike Tamil films where regular hero films will pull over the awards as did by Aadukalam. Dhanush earned National award for this movie which is being dubbed into Telugu. Its high times our heroes to make a try. However, we grown over past, with genius directors like Rajamouli delivering movies like Eega we are sure to give tough competition.Our directors and star too are exploring new story lines. Akkineni’s family drama Manam was one such innovative attempt. And recently release, Venky and Pawan starrer is also less touched subject on almighty and the myths. The stellar performances of the two stars enthralled the audiences. The film can definetly is sure to sweep most awards this year. It can also go for national awards too. Any of Venkatesh or Pawan Kalyan getting award home will be pride for our industry, and fans of both the stars will celebrate. But, being a remade film the chances are meager that it would be selected.
However, Pawan is expected to be conferred with Padma Award by the government. The rumours doing rounds that his name will be included in the list being sent to award panel. Recently we’ve seen badminton star Saina Nehwal’s name lately added into the list for Padma Bhushan. Fans and industry people are debating why not Pawan’s name be recommended. Well, it is in the hands of Government to decide whom to include. BJP Government in the center being pro to Pawan may consider his name is the buzz going around.
