What Inspired Krish To Make Kanche?

Kanche is billed to be director Krish's most ambitious project. The dream venture made of Rs 19 crores is set to see lights on October 2nd. Krish usually makes films on current subjects but what inspired him to make Kanche.

While shooting for Vedam in Visakhapatnam, Krish and Allu Arjun saw a bomb at navy museum. In 1942, April 6th, Japan army dropped this bomb during World War II targeting a ship Marine Maller loaded with 2000 tons of explosives, which fortunately did not explode. If that bomb had exploded, this would have been most unforgettable devastating incident in Indian history.

"Until seeing the bomb, I thought we don't have any connection with the World War II. A new thought raised in my mind after seeing the bomb. When we were shooting for Vedam's Tamil version 'Vaanam', we went to Karaikudi hunting for locations. There we found a Chettiyar house where we saw few memories of soldiers like their sketches, medals and certificates of proofs from Victoria Queen. Then I came to know on India's delegation in the war. Around 25 lakh people participated in the war. 24,000 were died, 65,000 were injured and 11,000 were unfound. These figures have hit my mind hardly. So, I thought of making a beautiful love story in the war backdrop with Kanche."

Varun Tej, Krish and other Kanche team put their maximum efforts in the film. Positive result will motivate them to take up another challenging project.
