Tamil fantasy drama Puli starring superstar Vijay and Bollywood queen Sridevi is not hitting the screens on its scheduled date, September 17. It will now release worldwide on October 1 as its computer graphics work isn't complete.
"Work pertaining to computer graphics on the film has been outsourced to third parties in countries such as Russia, China and Sweden. The team is unsatisfied with the output and hence, they've been asked to rework on some crucial portion," said a source from the film's unit.
Puli's official trailer that released on August 19 is a roaring success with more than 42 lakhs views on YouTube. Directed by Chimbu Deven, the film also stars Shruti Haasan, Sridevi, Hansika Motwani and Sudeep in important roles.
The source said that the team is working round the clock to ensure the film doesn't get further delayed. Puli will also be dubbed in Telugu and Hindi.
