Well-known Tollywood director Rajamouli has apparently come under pressure from Bollywood distributors to adhere to “scheduled release date” of Telugu version of multilingual Bahubaali, starring Prabhas, Rana and Anuskha. He has in fact been asked to weigh the postponement of date for film release against the loss the Bollywood producer, who has made the film in Hindi, and distributors suffer.
The Bollywood distributors have already set the schedule for release of the film worldwide and given it a wide publicity. Initially, the film was a bilingual venture in Telugu and Tamil. But plans underwent change following B-town filmmaker Karan Johar buying rights for the film by shelling out Rs 10 crore. Rajamouli directed the Hindi version extensively to make it an attention-grabbing film.
Even as producers of the film in all languages have set July 10 for its release, Rajamouli and his team have reportedly decided, if sources are to be believed, to tinker with a portion in the film, depicting “bull scene.” He is attempting to rework the scene on 4 CG shots to make it perfect though the recently released trailer and it has got tremendous response.
So for the first time in his career, Rajamaouli could be facing some pressure from Bollywood distributors and exhibitors, who are reportedly hurrying him up to stick to July 10. If they postpone it even by a week, they would be pitted opposite Salman Khan’s “Bhaijan Bhajrangi” since it’s tentatively slated for release on July 17.
