Is Mahesh Babu playing himself in Koratala Siva's film?

"Oorini dattatha theeskodam antey jebulo dabbulu theesi rangulu, roadlesi elipothaanannukunnara. Veedni, vaadni, vaadni, vaadni, veellandarni.. ninnu motthaanni dattatha theeskunna," thunders Mahesh in the recently released teaser Srimanthudu. The punch dialogue — which makes it clear that the film is based on the story of a village adopted by Mahesh — indicates the film's plot is inspired from Mahesh's plan to adopt his native village. 

In February, reports about Mahesh planning to adopt his ancestral village, Burripalem did the rounds. Namrata was quoted as saying, "We are going to work on several small details before proceeding further." While there has been no news of any development about the actor adopting his native village, but the idea seems to have inspired director Koratala Siva enough to come-up with a plot. Atleast that's what the fans of the actor reckon.
