One of the most prestigious projects of Telangana State Govt have came in to action.Telangana State IT Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao started a new IT services for people of Hyderabad with free Wi-Fi services . Free Wi-Fi services is now available for the common public at Hyderabad’s city lake tourist spot Tank Bund (Hussain Sagar)and its nearby areas surrounding 10kms. Sources close to Telangana Government state that this project is launched mainly to draw the attention of Foreign tourist and increase tourist attraction towards Hyderabad.
Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao have stated that he will deffinetly talk with Central IT Minister Ravi Shankar for expantion of free Wi-Fi service all around in Hyderabad.Now as a first step this Free Wi-Fi Service will be available for nearby localities and areas like Tank bund, Lumbini Park, Necklace Road etc.,
Wi-Fi Service Range and Capacity
Telecom Technical Team claims that approximately 1800-2500 people can log in and use Wifi at a time. Evey logged in user would be able to use free Wifi for 30 minutes and at the same time net speed will be limited approximately up to 2mbps to 20mbps faster. This Thought by T-Govt made Revolution in all the beside states.

* 'Public WiFi' launched in 17 locations in Hi-Tec City
* Users can access up to 750 MB free internet per day
* Any user with a valid mobile number would get a username and one-time password via SMS once the WiFi is switched on
* Project to be operational for three months on pilot basis
