Indra films, the distributor of Sardar Gabbar Singh is asking for advances from all the multiplexes. But the multiplexes are refusing to pay advances to distributor.
Generally multiplexes operate on revenue sharing basis and single screens operate on advance payments. So multiplexes don't want to get in to advance payment mode of operation at any cost.
They know that if they pay advance to Sardar Gabbar Singh, the whole multiplex business will hamper in future.
That's the reason non of the multiplexes have signed with SGS distributor and didn't open ticket bookings with show schedules even on Monday.
Even advertisement of Sardar Gabbar Singh with theatre list carried by distributor in news paper didn't include multiplexes list.
