Actually Ramya got married to author Aparijith Jayaraman on 21 Feb 2014. They have thrown reception to whole of film industry that time. However, Ramya says, "Just 10 days after the marriage, I've come to know that it won't work. So we've decided to separate. A year later, when the legal separation work is done, I've tweeted that I'm divorced". But her separation has some other cause, not that she wanted to act in films.
