Drushyam Creates A Unique Record

The Hindi remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam, has been released to superhit reports today. Starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shriya in the main leads, Drishyam is being lauded for its gripping screenplay and the director managed to retain the thrills offered by its original.

With this success, Drishyam, has created a unique feat of becoming a superhit in all the languages it has been remade. So far, Drishyam has been remade in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi and talks are currently on for a possible Bengali remake. The hero of the Telugu version, Victory Venkatesh took to his Facebook and wished the Hindi team a grand success.

Drishyam was released in 2013 and stood as the industry hit in Malayalam. Currently, the film's Tamil remake, Papanasam starring Kamal Haasan, is running to packed houses. Earlier, Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi, which too was originally made in Malayalam as Manichitrathazhu, ended up becoming a blockbuster in all the south Indian languages and also in Bollywood and Bengali.
