Megapower Star Ram Charan, after ruling the hearts of Mega fans with his films, has now entered the aviation business with Trujet, the latest entrant in the civil airline companies. In a freewheeling chat with a popular business daily, Cherry talked about the challenges and the future plans of Trujet.
Talking about the existing competition amidst the turbulent phase the aviation industry has been facing where it has become a huge challenge to make profits, Cherry hoped that Turbo Megha Airways, the company that runs Trujet operations, will make a difference.
Cherry revealed that he came on board for Trujet after realizing the potential and opportunity in the aviation sector, mostly in the tier II cities for middleclass passengers. "My focus is to lend value, not on finances," Cherry said talking about his role as a brand ambassador and Promoter-Director.
Currently, Trujet has two leased 72-seated aircraft and the company plans to lease five more aircraft depending on the market and extend services to cities like Aurangabad, Shirdi, Bengaluru, Hubbali and Goa. Cherry also hoped that Turbo Megha Airways will break even within the years.
