Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu is being dubbed into Tamil as Selvandhan. The dubbing works are in progress. The movie will have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil as well on August 7th.
This seems to be the best chance for Mahesh Babu to make an impact in Tamil Nadu. The movie is getting a solo release in the Telugu States as well as Tamil Nadu. Also Shruti Hassan’s presence in the movie will help it get the support of Kamal Hassan fans.
If the movie team manages to bring him for the audio release event there, they would get good attention from media and audience there. Baahubali which also released in Tamil had proved that there is a good market in Tamil Nadu for Telugu films. We will have to see if Mahesh uses this opportunity.
