Recalling his childhood days and what his superstar dad Krishna told him, Mahesh said,"I was in high school, when my dad got me to act in a movie during my summer vacations. It became a hit and I went on to act in a bunch of films every summer holidays and thus became a popular child artiste. Then he called me one day and told me to complete my education before getting back into acting full time. He was the best; he laid it all out for me."
Ask him what's the best part? Mahesh says without thinking for a moment. "The best part in Dad is that he let me figure things out on my own. He gave freedom to me to test waters. At the same time, whenever I needed him, he is there." Not just describing his father Krishna as his Guru, Mahesh in fact owed his acting career to dad. How nice of Mahesh guys.
