Trade reports have implied that Srimanthudu, directed by Koratala Siva, got sold out for nearly 74 crores, with 10 crores included in it for Satellite rights. If we single out only the theatrical rights business numbers of the film across the globe, 59.6 crores is said to be the final figure invested by all the distributors. So far, Mahesh Babu's highest 'share' revenue (the money that goes to distributors) is 56.7 crores which was recorded by blockbuster Dookudu. Recently he saw films like 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu biting dust at box office, which have touched just 40 crore mark and gave up. Only if Srimanthudu delivers exceptionally superb content, this 60 crore feat will be a simple task.
With the success of Baahubali at box office, Telugu arena looks quite encouraging and maybe that energy will cast a positive impact on Srimanthudu even it gets an above average talk. Songs scored by Devi Sri Prasad have won appreciation already and film also repeats similar gesture then this record number could be easily pulled.
