Though the film was opened to the mixed reviews, it still managed to cross the benchmark 50 days with 50 crores.
But the thing is, though the film crossed 50 crores, still it could not create a smile on the face of the distributors, as the film was sold to 54 crores.
As per the reports, the total share collected by Satyamurthy is 51.6 crores. If the shares are to be bifurcated,
AP and Telangana: Rs.37.65 crores
Karnataka: Rs.5.8 crores
Kerala: Rs.1.15 crores
Tamilnadu: Rs.63 lakhs
Overseas: 51.6 crores
When, the other miscellaneous places are also included, the total figure shows 51.6 crores. But as the distributors bought the film for 54 crores, a few of them had to face losses. Through satellite rights and other rights, producers are benefited with another 14 crores by the film. So finally, it is the distributors, who is affected by the film, but not the producers.
