Anushka Shetty starrer Rudramadevi doesn’t seem to be getting its release date. Earlier the makers said that the film would release during summers. Summer is almost over and the rains are to start soon, yet we see no announcement from the makers.
Sources tell us that the team is looking at July or August for the release of the film. Surely the film will be released after the release of Baahubali, we hear. Reason for this delay is financial issues and post production work.
The movie ran into huge financial problems as director and producer Gunasekhar is struggling to sell the movie. To recover the investment, he is quoting the exorbitant amount and the distributors are not willing to pay such price despite the fact that the movie stars Anushka in lead role.
With many big budgeted movies flopping these days, distributors don't want to take risk.
