Release troubles for Ravi Teja’s Kick 2?

Mass Maharaja’s sequel to 2009 blockbuster is having a hard time zeroing in on a release date

Ravi Teja’s Kick 2 is one of the most awaited release this year. But alas the film is having release troubles and fans might have to wait till August to catch the film on big screen.
Earlier the film was supposed to release on May 22, but after an unexplained delay, producer Kalyan Ram had decided to release on June 26. But since Anushka Shetty’s Rudhramadevi is releasing on June 26, it is highly unlikely that Ravi Teja and Rakul Preet Singh’s Kick 2 might release on June 26. And on July 10, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning will release, for which fans are waiting for with bated breath. And a week after that, ie on July 17, Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu is all set to see the light.
With such jam packed schedule at Telugu box office with big films like Rudhramadevi, Baahubaliand Srimanthudu releasing back to back, it leaves only next weekend for makers of Kick 2 to release the film. A source tells that the makers are looking to release the film of June 17 ie coming Wednesday. But what baffles us is that why makers are planning on Wednesday release rather than going for a traditional Friday release.
