Speaking on the occasion, Rajamouli revealed a startling fact which took everyone by surprise. Talking about the film's magnitude, Jakkanna said that first part has been made at a budget of 150 crores and the total budget including the second part will touch upto 250 crores until the second part's release in 2016.
Until Rajamouli's revelation, many were thinking that the total budget of the film was 150 crores. Now that the 250 crores has come into the picture, it will take several years before any Indian film beats Baahubali's record breaking budget. While Baahubali The Beginning is being ready for a release this July, 70 per cent of the film's second part has been completed and the shooting will resume after the first part's release.
