After separating with Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai faced many problems as lot of people accused her of taking huge amount from Powerstar as a part of settlement.
Renu Desai denied those rumours and said, “Initially I was Pissed off with these rumours but then I started to ignore them. One of my friends asked me if I took 40 crores from Pawan Kalyan? I didn’t even bothered to answer that question.
Only Pawan and me know the things happened between us and we don’t want to put all those things into the public. No, I didn’t take 40 crores from Pawan Kalyan. We loved each other and we were happy together for almost 10 years.
Money was never the issue between us and both of us are not bothered about these rumours. Pawan won’t come out and clarify the rumours and people know that, this is the reason why lot of people speculated gossips about me and him. I’m happy with my kids and will be producing some good films in Marathi”.
Pawan Kalyan's Ex wife, actor turned director Renu Desai finally spoke about all the myths surrounding her and her marriage. Renu Desai has given an exclusive interview on her birthday that was uploaded on her Youtube Channel. Renu cleared air about many things in this interview. Renu vehemently denied taking 40 crores from Pawan Kalyan as alimony. "I don't care if people believe me or not, but I didn't take anything for myself".
"I came to know about these rumors four months after our divorce. I was shocked when one of our very close friends asked me "How did you take 40 crores from him?" Pawan Kalyan never comes out and talks about these things. So people started to believe in those rumors. But many forgot that I was a working woman. I started doing ads at the age of sixteen and also acted in three films. I have invested my money and obviously ours (including Pawan's) money in real estate. I never asked him for any money. I am definitely not after his money. I loved him with all my heart and soul and was happy with him until the day we got divorced," Renu said.
Renu Desai also brushed off the rumors about being a nagging wife. "I never questioned him about how he spends his money. In fact I am very happy to walk in his path and do whatever that makes him happy. Nobody knows that I am the first person who was active in taking forward Common man Protection Force. We have helped more than thirty people in three months. I never opposed Pawan from returning back his remuneration when his movies didn't do well. Why would I stop him from helping his family members? These are just baseless rumors and we both know the reasons for getting separated. I don't want to disclose those things in public."
